Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My friend's new 2012 997S was just rear-ended by an AT&A service truck. It only has 745 miles. Does anybody know of a recommended or certified Porsche body shop in the Bay Area?

POST 2Original post

Mathews-Carlsen body shop in Palo Alto behind the old Carlsen Porsche dealer (now Audi) Cavallino collision right down the way from there. Not sure if either is porsche certified or not but they do good work. Both do lots of high end cars. Carlsen has more Porsche experience than almost anyone else I'd guess.

POST 3Original post

Plus 1 on Mathews Carlsen. Talk to JR, Paul, or Tom. [phone removed]

POST 4Original post

Another amazing shop is Anderson-Behel bodyshop on Walsh in Santa Clara. They are very familiar working on the newest Porsches and I have seen their Porsche work up close. As a stickler for correct body repairs I have to say they are the best I have ever seen. I havent had them repair any of MY Porsches yet, but went to them with my girlfriends escape. Their customer service was WAY beyond any expectations, but unfortunately that car was totaled. They are friends with Stevens creek Porsche but entirely capable on their own. Talk to Jeff and he will make you feel right at home!
