was the clamshell fully open when you set the 6.2 k ohms ?also might want to recheck the emergency override screw is not over tightened .If the windows and flaps are down and emergency brake engaged and none of the other emergency raise and lower procedures were done it probably will work .

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey all, is there a go to video on convertible top calibration? I had to repair a bracket on my clamshell. I've put everything together & calibrated the motor to 6.2 ohms. I have the repair manual but I still cannot get everything to work. I've searched & read all the threads and still can't get to the bottom of getting my top to work again.

POST 2Original post

It's a real PITA and the steps aren't well delineated in the Bentley or other resources. one of the guys here Dharn55 has the porsche technical manuals. They break down everything really well. If you PM him he will send you the manuals. You can apparently do it with a Durametric but I wasn't successful. Mine required a PIWI all that being said if you didn't change the position of anything. It should just work without a calibration M

Thanks for this. Dharn55 doesn't appear in the member list unfortunately... I'll have to keep digging I guess. This is one of those subjects that seems pretty difficult to find the answer to!

I think that may be my problem. I couldnt' find a clear answer on when/where the clamshell should be when I calibrated it. It was closed. I'll get back on it later today & report back.
