Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
If its having trouble throwing into 2nd/4th/6th you may just need to adjust the linkages up front.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust linkages up front' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust linkages up front' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Suggestion
Because they fill the voids of the transmission mount, it will also lead to a prolonged lifespan of a healthy transmission mount.

Suggestion
If your mount has not been replaced recently, then I surmise it may need attention.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So finally finished installing my Numeric shifter and cables. I installed the shifter in the middle position and wrapped the cables in the silicon tubing inside, but not outside just yet. Cabin nose increased a bit, but it reminds me of a race car 😉
Anyway, the shift action is very short, and very solid. I drove for about 30 minutes getting used to it. My first downshift to 2nd I missed while turning; I have to get used to more effort. Anyway, my only concern is when shifting into 4th, it almost feels like a bit of syncro grinding. Shifting into 2nd and 4th feels a bit less travel then 1st and 3rd. Would I know if the gear is not fully engaged? It's not popping out of gear and stays in under heavy acceleration. Maybe the extra nose is throwing me off? I spent a fair amount of time making sure the cable ends on the trans side went past the travel of the levers as seen in the install video. Is this something I just need to get used to? Thanks
Its straightforward, but a bit time-consuming. Youd have to support the transmission with a jack so you can remove the mount bracket for a proper visual inspection.
Then you have to put it all back together.
If your mount has not been replaced recently, then I surmise it may need attention. Furthermore, there are polyurethane transmission mount inserts by Function First which are great for improving shift precision. Because they fill the voids of the transmission mount, it will also lead to a prolonged lifespan of a healthy transmission mount.
The downside to those mount inserts is that there is noticeable NVH. I installed the softest inserts available (orange) and there was an immediate increase in NVH. I think its tolerable, but you may think otherwise. The improvement in shift quality was worth the NVH increase.
So I took it out for a quick errand and twice now 2nd gear didn't engage. The lever was in the correct position, but when I released the clutch, it felt like it was in neutral. I put the lever back into neutral then shifted to 2nd and it was fine. Happened twice.
Did you properly calibrate the neutral stick position? If its having trouble throwing into 2nd/4th/6th you may just need to adjust the linkages up front.
Up front as in the connections to the shifter? I recall the adjustments there were for the stick's upright position- whereas one controlled the left/right lean and other forward/back lean. I adjusted mine dead straight up with a level.
To check if there is enough fore-aft throw do this. With the engine off shift it into each gear. When fully in gear there should be enough lost motion that the shifter can be pushed a little further and then spring back. If this is not so, there is not enough throw to get into that gear and the shifter needs to be adjusted.
Great, thanks. If it appears there's not enough, do I make my adjustments at the transmission side by popping of the connection and turning it in the proper direction?
