Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Does anyone know how to clear or remove presets from the keys? The car is a new '13 911, the seat moves, the mirror pivots, the air comes on everytime I start it, anyone else have this problem?....my dealer does not know how to clear them...I just want it to do nothing but start. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Why clear them? Just reset them to YOUR settings. Turn the A/C off, do the mirrors & seats, press & hold the MEMORY button & press the #1/key button.

POST 3Original post

Per my 997.1 owner's manual, to clear the seat position: "Ignition on..., Press memory button twice and key button 1 once consecutively"

POST 5Original post

FYI: I just got my car back from it's 3rd service and learned another reason for your A/C that wouldn't reset. My car has the PCM option. You can control your climate settings there. If the STORE function was enabled, you need to uncheck that option. Ref. the (my '06) PCM booklet, page 25 for Individual Settings & page 27 for Climate Controls.
