I got some advice from crutchfield and they recommended the same or similar kit.

There is the whole BOSE set - speakers, amplifier and Subwoofer.

I feel like stereo update to double din and those that want to use the BOSE system should be a sticky on here, there is so much information from different threads that I get all kinds of information.

Good morning. I know that the topic has been discussed but some topics were many years ago and some are not fully understandable to me.
My Porsche is a 996.2 2003.
Equipped with MOST.
There was no radio when I bought the car.
I think there used to be a CD changer - there is a MOST and electric cable and a handle.
There is the whole BOSE set - speakers, amplifier and Subwoofer.
All cables are in place.
How do I buy an adapter to insert a Continental radio?
I bought a CDR23 radio but it is PROTECT - so I give it up.
Can I request a LINK for the adapter (Amazon, Ebay, ALiexpress)?
Do I just put and connect the adapter in the space behind the radio or do I modify something with harness pf the amplifier?

Subscribing for the same info. 2003 MOST here. Was told a few years ago by BergvillFX that no solution was available, curious if anything new has come around.
I too have a 2003 coupe with a Hi Fi system (non-Bose). The CDR23 head unit only plays CDs when it feels like it. Would love to stick a Continental unit in but the MOST system does not play well with aftermarket units. Any newer options out there?
Link to thread on my swap on an 03. As I recall the most adapter I got was described for Cayenne, but worked fine for 911. These things tend to introduce alternator noise. So recommend to buy noise suppressors ahead of time. Returning them if not needed way easier than ripping the dash apart again if you do.

He was extremely helpful when I was looking for the right audio upgrades for my specific 996.
I bought Seicane Car Optic Fiber Decoder from AliExpress. Now, I'm waiting for the delivery. I think only problem with car audio is to connect speakers or preamp outlet feom new car radio to the fiberglass installation. Power connecions are typical like all other cars.
I thin Bose amp only need speaker signal from fiber and power.

Unfortunately it does not work. I connected the infrared decoder. I plugged in the Alpine radio. The fiber optic cable from the amplifier side gives red light. Changer plugged fiber optic loop. The decoder is still working. maybe there is no power to the amp? fuses D8 and D9 are OK. I do not know what to do. the current on two thick cables at the amplifier is. I don't know what that little plug in it is for. I don't know what the thin wire in the radio plug is for.
Not sure what problem you are having? If the HU is not powering on, you need to find a switched 12v wire to tap as it is not present on the OEM harness. See the wiring section on my old post here
