Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Considering a high mileage 01 TT, it seems to be a clean car with maintenance records. The price is ok and working on it. So my question is how many of you guys have high mileage 911 TT's? I'd hate to grab the car and the engine take a big poop on me.

POST 2Original post

i spoke for a long time with the service tech at the local porche dealer. So take that for what its worth. He was very honest about his concern with the ims issues on the standard engines. But...he loves the turbo set up. Apparently its different enough and much more robust. He doesnt believe high mileage on the turbos is any issue what so ever.

POST 3Original post

Yes the turbo engines are completely different than the N/A cars. Bulletproof comes to mind. How many miles are you considering HI.? My 930 has just rolled over 80,000 and shows no sign of getting tired
