Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Pelican Parts: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

in am located in el paso texas, but location of a reputable transmission shop is not that important to me. i will need to ship anyway. thanks david

POST 6Original post

searching posts for a couple days here and on Renntech.org seem to agree that GBOX and California Motorsports have good reputations. Mine is at GBOX. I can't wait to get it back. Stan has been good to work with. But I think parts are dear no matter where you go.

POST 7Original post

well, i have the tranny back and in. 80 miles on it and sounding nice. Fast turnaround at GBOX. They got it on a Tuesday and on Friday at noon I got the call it was done. And they say they are swamped! I expected to wait at least 2 weeks. The bad news is it cost $1900 more than we estimated. And no one called to confirm that I wanted/could pay $1700 for a used ring and pinion:-( Would i go to them again? Yes But for the cost of shipping I'll take a vacation and deliver it myself and make sure we understand each other.
