As i understood if i want a 2002 996 turbo front look in my 2002 boxter, i just need to replace front bumper and headligths?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi: New member here. I'm a high school shop(Technology) teacher. We're re-building a donated 99' coupe for a State Competition. We found a few used Turbo front/rear bumper covers on-line for sale. Will these be a simple bolt-on? Thanks.....
Hi there,
Actually it would be if the period was correct, such as you having a 2002 996, you'll notice on the 996 the Turbo has it's bumper shaped around the newer headlamp design only later featured on the 2002 and newer 996.
If you did have the later 996 it would be pretty simple other than cutting down or painting the aluminum bumper for aesthetics of course.
Don't waste your time or money unless you plan on changing out the head lamps, head-lamp trays, bumper, two wiring harnesses and a few other items.
Good Luck with your project, feel free to send me a message if you need more info or post here...
Thanks for the advice folks.. Any idea of who sells the bolt-on early 996 Turbo bumper conversion. P.S. The donated car wound up to be a 2001 Carrera 4. Not a 99' C2 like the generous donor originally told us.
Hi, new too.
As i understood if i want a 2002 996 turbo front look in my 2002 boxter, i just need to replace front bumper and headligths?
Same fenders, hood, etc?
Thank you
It's going to be a little more than that, the headlights, the headlight harness, the headlight plastic trim molding, the center plastic cover under the hood on the bumper, the mounting trays, the tray mounting hardware kits and fenders...
There are bumpers you can purchase which still allow you to keep the headlights the same without all the extras and still gain that Turbo look bumper...
That's about it... Little more than you probably expected but it is true..
Good Luck sir,
I just happened to notice that nice car in the picture of you guys talking about front bumper but i would like to know where you purchased the side skirts and the rear spoiler as it looks awesome on the car and i would like to add it to mine.
Many thanks...
