Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Porsche Club GB: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Last week I heard what at first was a "small stone hitting windscreen" sound somewhere top left. Not only could I not find a chip (phew!) but I noticed that my perfect cab roof was no longer perfect. I have photos and I need to save them as much smaller files in order to upload to here. I'm in Suffolk and the coachtrimmer who fitted the roof has since retired so I'm looking for diagnosis and fix. Until I can get the photo & video shrunk to size the effect is as if the cable which guides into the folding window frame sections has stretched so the fabric roof (which still folds & unfolds otherwise correctly) doesn't align correctly. I think the stone chip ping was the sound of something letting go.
