In my search for a 997, I have noticed some cars have steering wheels with a round hub (air bag) and some have an almost triangular shape. Would someone explain the reason for the differences. Thanks in advance.

As far as I know all of the early 997's were the triangle shape. There was an option for a thicker steering wheel, but it is not much thicker; hardly worth changing steering wheels over.
