I could change the RF transmitter IC on a guess and see if that fix the fob.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Trying to fix one of my 996 FOBs. The MC seem to work fine outputting data on key press. The RF transmitter may not be working. only way to tell is to use a CRO and see if the 315MHz signal is there. My CRO only goes up to 60Mhz. So anyone has a spare 400Mhz CRO I can borrow? I could change the RF transmitter IC on a guess and see if that fix the fob. It is only few $ worth. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/BWV6sgDu0s1v_uriZH2IRcvKv2QRI0xo4vzSnYBq9Hn3=w1002-h700-no https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-NZOmFJMiFAQ/VWKi3vKIZSI/AAAAAAAAVec/lLkkwB_iTmA/w394-h700-no/20150525_134149.jpg
