Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I recently came back to the states and tried to use my Nav but the map screen does not load and the error message reads, "Error: Invalid Database." I can still use my regular Nav but just no map to look at.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I had an IPod adapter installed in my 2006 Carrera while I was stationed in Korea. I recently came back to the states and tried to use my Nav but the map screen does not load and the error message reads, "Error: Invalid Database." I can still use my regular Nav but just no map to look at. I took it to the Porsche dealership and they said I had two Fiber Optic Cables that were NOT connected and needed to be. They said I needed to get a "Fiber Optic Loop Ring" to connect both Fiber Cables. One problem, they did not sell one or even know how to get one. After calling around I figured out I need a "Coupler". I spoke with Auto Mobility Distribution Inc. and they do not sell one. I have been told that Dension might have one but I can not find their website. I leave for a cross country trip in a few days so having the whole Nav working would make the trip easier. Appreciate any knowledge or just a nudge in the right direction. Thanks, Brett "Semper Fi"
