Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, bit of a quick one, one of the cables on my spoiler has siezed, going to try soak and see if that frees it! Cars been parked up for a month so not used it. But was working fine before hand. If this doesn’t work, does anyone have a spare of the wing actuator? Or know if autel will code out the raised spoiler into thinking it’s a fixed spoiler? Thanks!

POST 2Original post

If it was working before being parked, I’d try freeing/lubricating the seized cable first. If the actuator is dead, a good used unit is probably the easiest fix. You can code the car for a fixed spoiler with PIWIS, which removes the warning. Autel may or may not expose that coding option, so I wouldn’t rely on it. So I’d try freeing it first. If not, used actuator/drive unit, or PIWIS-code it fixed if you’re happy leaving the spoiler permanently raised....
