Suggestion

Added an Audiocontrol LC1i line driver between HU and BOSE MOST FIbre adapter to boost clean signal and added a wireless charge pad to the cubby connected to the HU, so when key is removed, the charge pad does not cause drain.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

OK problem fixed I did manage to find the August 2020 TIB in one of the other posts, interestingly there are 2 versions both dated August (9th and 20th) the one from the 9th is the one that covers the Installation for ROW M440 option correctly and by using this the DAB now works perfectly.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2004 C4S. Having fun and games fitting my PCCM+ (well games at best). Stuck at the ariel connection on the right A pillar bit. It just doesn't match the crap photo in the technical instructions. Suppose to ground it, connect the white connector to something and feed the wire to the PCCM. What I assume is a booster on the A pillar has no connector to match the one on the supplied wire. The PCCM end of the wire obviously goes into the white socket on the back of the DAB receiver (silver box). Anyone had experience of this and can enlighten me? I'm assuming this a pain in the arse because i had pcm2 with , nav, multi cd and amp.

POST 2Original post

I had similar issues, cracked the windscreen removing the A pillar trim also! I ended up connecting it at the left hand pillar instead, the cable you show in the second pic is for American markets I think and I didn’t use. What revision date is the manual you’re using (bottom right corner)? I found a later revision of the manual Aug 2020, which shows connecting on the left A pillar, it all worked fine following that later revision. Can email you a copy if you like.

Do you have M440 option?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi , yes m440. My instructions are April 2020 and it shows a different connector in figure 4 compared to what is on your image.

POST 6Original post

Isn't the kit meant to come with a new antenna/booster for DAB? You remove the old one which is FM/AM, and fit the new one in its place. At least that is what is done on 997.

It comes with a bypass for both the amplifier in the door pillar (both sides have one - can use either) and the diversity combine rin th epassenger footwell. Basically make sit a straight cable from windscreen antenna to back of stereo when you finished on the 996.

POST 8Original post

Does anyone know how the new unit decides which Bass and Treble controls to use? Full equalizer with frequency outputs or just simple Bass and Treble. I think it may have something to do with the spec of the optical cable used in the car. Also, mine no longer has fuel economy figures. Is this correct?

POST 9Original post

HI, I am struggling with the same issue my 2003 996 Turbo has the PCM 2 with M440 option and after installing the PCCM + everything works apart from DAB, mine is exactly the same as the original post . the TIB I have is however not the Aug 2020 version so if anyone has the latest version of this I would apreciate a copy. If the original poster is still active on the Forum were you able to resolve your issue and get it connected Rgds Mike

Tbh, I ditched the pccm+ and bought an aliexpress jobby. It's much better.

POST 12Original post

I’ve had the PCCM plus single din for a couple of years and it works seemlessly. Plug the lead in and picks the phone up straight away for Apple car play, DAB works well, no complaints, maybe I’m just lucky., I did pay for a local audio specialist to install which cost £90.

POST 13Original post

I did it DIY, no issues my side…maybe just lucky I literally ordered everything, didn’t need the MOST box on mine. The A pillar literally pops off and there is a plug you route the wire to and I think if I recall right there is an adapter if it doesn’t fit the existing antenna. I also removed a while immobiliser as well as repair 25 years of dodgy/split wires too. Routing the wiring was tedious. Here’s a video I made when I did it. 11 reactions | Porsche 911 PCCM+ installation #porsche #porsche911 #porsche996 #pccm | RM Towbars Porsche 911 PCCM+ installation #porsche #porsche911 #porsche996 #pccm www.facebook.com Or here

Just what I did. Added an Audiocontrol LC1i line driver between HU and BOSE MOST FIbre adapter to boost clean signal and added a wireless charge pad to the cubby connected to the HU, so when key is removed, the charge pad does not cause drain. Works great, chuck phone in and wireless car play fires up and shows phone charging.
