Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey gang, the suspension on my daily-driven C4S is tired. I'm looking at coilovers and would like to spend less than two grand. Lots of people in here are fans of the FEAL 441 coils. Has anyone had experience with the BC Racing coils? Or the Ceikas? Better? Worse? Different?
I can only do anecdote like many others. I'm road only for my 996. I DE/track only a BMW E30 shell manual no ABS etc. My indy in Australia probably stated the Feals were the only set in East Australia, and equal to more costly coil overs for a road use 996. Great ride coilover adjustibility and fun. Air coooled here has become "too valuable to be driven". I've actually never seen another 996 in traffic here. Club meet different. I've used other JDM suspension such as hard race rear toe arms. Considering the low cost of FEAL, and their claim off 996 specific development. I contend they're the best of the low cost end. There are BC positive anecdotes. Premium Coilover statements Bilstein, Ohlin, Moton etc. That I think are more than anecdote. A set of FEALS is low cost and good value - for a 996 that is driven and not for storage. Or track focussed. Perhaps coilovers are just the new oil thread.
If you are road only, look no further than factory M030 springs and either Koni sports or Bilsteins. Stiffer than regular springs, all the street handling you'll ever need, and factory springs so you know they'll work. I run them on my 03 C4S and I wouldn't want the car any stiffer. With the Koni's they run about $1200 from Carnewal. I installed Koni's with mine and it rides well and handling is excellent.
I have had a set of Ceika’s on our 20
03 C2 for several years now and have been pleased with the performance. The car is used for fun spirited driving but not tracked. they come with top mounts and do not require the stock top mounts to be reused. These coilovers can also be set to stock ride height. I liked them well enough to order a set for a C$ I have also.
This is initially what I was planning to do. But pricing the spring/damper kit from Carnewal today I'm looking at $1406 plus shipping (I asssume), then $285 for front strut mounts from FCP and another $330 for rear mounts = $2201 before shipping. Feals come in at $1519, Ceikas at $1340.
I'm leaning toward these after reading another positive long-term review from a different rennlister. If they're that good for $1300 it seems like a no brainer.
