Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is ther a "how to" guide that walks through Battery replacement, saving codes, etc?

POST 3Original post

I used the Black&Decker charger mentioned in the link when I did my battery swap a few weeks back. Worked as advertised at holding all the radio settings and was $15 at wally world. I was going to get the real Porsche one, but it was $135. I don't have that much pride. I got the costco version of the battery for ~$65 with no trade-in. Now I'm stuck with a slightly good 8+ year old OEM Porsche battery that I'm going to give to my dad to use in his tractor.

Auto parts stores take old batteries for free if you just want to get rid of it.
