Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was on the Porsche USA website looking for a used Turbo and, just for grins, thought I would try and configure a GT3 and see what the retail would be. Lo and behold, there is no GT3 option on the site. Have they discontinued the GT3 or is it simply too late to build one? I would have thought I would have heard if they had discontinued the car. Thanks for any info.

POST 2Original post

They kind of do them in batches. There was no 2006 GT3 either....nor 2003 I think. Given that there's a new 911 coming out this fall (the 991) they probably aren't doing any more of the old 997 based cars and the 991 based GT3 isn't ready yet...if it will ever be ready. Porsche is developing a whole bunch of new sports cars right now and the 911 is morphing into a bigger fatter GT car. Patience - something will be there to fill the void, and it will lay waste to the old GT3s.
