Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Im no stranger to the brand having previously owned a 987 Boxster S which I adored so much that I then setup a small independent Porsche dealership in Nottingham (I won’t name names as this is not a marketing exercise - don’t worry!) Which I’ve been running for some time.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all! I have just acquired my first 996 - what a brilliant week so far! 2001, Carrera 2 Coupe manual in lapis blue circa 70k miles. It was advertised on collecting cars but didn’t meet reserve, some of you may have spotted it. Im no stranger to the brand having previously owned a 987 Boxster S which I adored so much that I then setup a small independent Porsche dealership in Nottingham (I won’t name names as this is not a marketing exercise - don’t worry!) Which I’ve been running for some time. I buy and sell around 30 Porsches a year. Sales wise I tend to do the much newer stuff and have never been Involved in the now classic 996 but when I thought of what I liked in these cars generally it was the raw, connected feel and the 996 was the only choice for me. The plan is to go to a different UK spot of beauty each month (national trust etc), a wedding in Florence in august and down to Le Mans late summer with my other half who has yet to be convinced into driving a Porsche (she’s very nervous!). I really want to get the most out of my membership and the community as I never found the time when I had the boxster so I’ll absolutely try and come to some of your great events and meet you lovely people in person! thanks for putting together such a great resource.
