Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good evening everyone, i wonder if anyone could advise me as to it is compulsory to fit N rated tyres to my 2003 Porsche 911 4s for general road use, as i went to get a quote for tyres today and was informed that the insurance could be void without the correct specification ?

POST 2Original post

Hi Barry and welcome to the forum. As long as the tyres are the correct size and load rating they should not affect your insurance. Bit of an old chestnut this one. Who told you the insurance could be void? Not your insurance company, I suspect! Worth giving them a call for peace of mind, though. It's becoming increasingly difficult to source N rated tyres for certain older models. For my own, for example, I can now only get Pirelli N rated.
