Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

After I got bit by the Porsche bug it didn't take long to realize 996s have the best looking headlights of all 911 models, and covers over the design masterpiece look worse than run-of-the-mill oval lights.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Are these still em Vogue? My 99 has a set of them on the halogen lights that appear to be bonded to the headlights and painted Arctic silver.
I bought a set of standard halogens off a Boxster and plan to swap them out because I like the fried egg look.
Would there be any interest in them as is? Meaning attached to the headlights or should I just toss up on eBay with no reserve?
Thanks

I'm not a fan of the 996.1 head light covers that are available, but I do (obviously) like these:
I have a second set of headlights, so I CAN switch back and forth...but I don't.
I prefer the looks of the headlight covers.
My wife doesn't, she prefers the 996.2 headlights.

I love my 996.1 headlights, but not a fan of techart solution. However I am a big fan of the solution texsquirrel has on his .2. they look great. I frankly love seeing the mods people do to headlights an I am ok with it.
Wow, my opinion has changed since 3+ years ago.
While I still have both sets of headlights I currently prefer the stock look.
You can buy these from Pelican Parts, or directly from the manufacturer.
Having owned a couple of NSX's over the years I was quickly introduced to a culture that seems to be okay with just about anything you do to your NSX lol...and I do mean anything! At first it was a little unnerving but with time it was such an amazing group of people that were accepting of what you did to your car AS LONG as it was what YOU liked. Everyone loved the platform and what it was capable of so from me with a very mild update to guys with full body kits and crazy motors etc etc it was all great and was/is a great camaraderie. I used to "not care for" the 996 headlights. Now I feel (like
@yoonietang
like they were an obvious and wonderful design step for the car. Balso like the ones that are partially tinted and the ones with covers. In the end we are all 911 owners and have a deep love for these cars in all iterations. so in closing...You do YOU! just love the car and drive her like she needs to be driven!
