There was no notice, no invoice, no receipt, no correspondence; just the repaired mirror.

Confusion abounds with this scenario, but today I received the repaired mirror in the mail.

Also, used mirrors on Ebay are much cheaper than a new one.

Suggestion
I sent my mirror in for repair after reading about radar-mirror.com on the forums here.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all, sorry to post such a downer topic on Thanksgiving, but I wanted to warn everyone against using radar-mirror.com. I recently sent my self-dimming mirror to them for repair with the poorest customer service I have experienced in quite some time. I found them in one of the threads here and thought I'd give them a try, but it's turned out quite poorly. The timeline is as follows...
10/27/21 - Sent my mirror (prepaid $114 + $15 shipping) to radar-mirror.com for repair
10/27/21 - Received receipt via email for the work order
11/10/21 - Sent an email to radar-mirror.com for an update on the repair work since I had received no further communication since the emailed receipt; no response from vendor.
11/11/21 - Left a voicemail with the number provided on their site; no response.
11/15/21 - Sent a message via their website "contact us" form
11/15/21 - Received an email stating that I would be contacted by someone on their staff "shortly"; no further contact from vendor
11/21/21 - Sent another email requesting info and stating without an appropriate response, I would be contacting my cc company for a refund and also posting here to warn others of their customer service practices
So here we are about a month after I originally placed the order with only 1 response from radar-mirror.com. I'm not sure what's going on with them, but for all who are looking to get their mirrors repaired, I would avoid radar-mirror.com. At this point, I'm out a mirror (albeit broken) and have to source a new mirror for what looks to be ~$500.
Happy T'day!
Hopefully just a fluke, as many people have used and recommended them over the years on here for mirror issues.
Also, used mirrors on Ebay are much cheaper than a new one.
That does seem odd, I had sent my M3 mirror in a few years ago and it was returned pretty quick and worked perfectly. Hopefully, you get it straightened out.
I'd wait before ordering a new mirror if you're able. I used them for some work years ago and friends have used them without issues.
There is a BBB complaint with a very similar storyline.

From my research it looks like he has a normal day job too.

You should be able to find his LinkedIn relatively easily. I just don't want to post it here.
The latest update is that my cc company refunded the original amount paid, however I'm still without the original mirror. It certainly would be interesting if it showed up somewhere like Ebay as refurbished. It sounds like there have been many folks who have had better luck than I with radar-mirror.com, but I stand by my cautionary tale to stay away. It's not a big issue in the larger scheme of things, but I feel like I've been robbed, not only of the item I sent for repair, but in time. Good luck to all.
Confusion abounds with this scenario, but today I received the repaired mirror in the mail. There was no notice, no invoice, no receipt, no correspondence; just the repaired mirror. Unfortunately for me, I just assumed I'd never see my old mirror again, so I purchased a new unit from FCP Euro for $568.34. In the end, my car is fine and I'm out a few hundred bucks and some time. All of this could have been avoided with a simple email from radar-mirror.com, but that is their failing. Simply setting an expectation whether it was 2 weeks or 6 months is all I needed and I would have been fine waiting. I do hope that they can get their sh*t together because there's a need in the market for their service. Happy Holidays!
I had a similar dealing with him this time last year and, like you, received my mirror roughly 6-8 weeks after sending it out. I had zero communications, but did read from a lot of folks that this is very common and to trust the process. I did not buy a new one and as I said before, it arrived in flowless condition.
Theyve had my auto dimming for a month. No response to numerous emails. Have started credit card refund and installed the 997 manual mirror. Fits perfectly, handles the auto dimming wire (was worried Id have to tape it up, instead the manual mirror has a space for the unused cable). Assuming I get the auto mirror back, Ill probably try to repair it, or at least clean it, myself and eBay it. Pretty disgusted with radar mirror.
Crap...of course I just sent payment and boxed up my mirror and paid for postage already...I have called Scott twice today, goes to voicemail. Hope I have better luck than others...
EDIT: funny, I just called him again and he picked right up but didn't sound really enthused to talk to me but he certainly wasn't rude at all. As someone else said, he might have another day job. Anyway, he told me about a week turnaround time. Hopefully that will be the case...
just another data point from another customer.
I sent my mirror in for repair after reading about radar-mirror.com on the forums here. his website says "1 day turnaround". Awesome!
order placed on 9/19/22; mirror confirmed as received on 9/21/22 by UPS.
no communication so i emailed on 10/2. still no response.
Then I called twice; finally several days later he returned my call. "you're next in line."
my mirror finally arrived today in the same box i shipped it in, no written receipt and no advance notice of tracking number.
at least it's here and appears to be repaired.
I really don't care if you have a day job or not; if you're offering a service to the public that is being paid for, the public deserves customer courtesy of communication and timely service
And I will say emailing him is a bit useless, I sent a few emails, never a response but he did respond to a phone call. And the phone number is his cell, so he also responded via text.
I sent my BMW mirror to Scott last week. I've called him three times and emailed him twice to make sure he received the mirror. He answered yesterday and said he was on his way to pick up his kids from school, and to call him back in an hour. I did so but he didn't pick up, so I didn't leave a message. I sent him another email and called him today. He answered neither. I searched and saw reviews here and read them. I'm pretty sure Scott has a day job, but I cannot fathom why anyone wouldn't answer customers. I have a business of my own and take very good care to make them happy so that they return. Maybe he doesn't need to.
