Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have a water damaged but fully working (after I installed bunch of jumper wires etc..) immo module (p/n 99661826007, that officially is not compatible with my 99 Boxster for some reason, however came with it).

Does any one have have the information if I can use the contents of my original EEPROM to make the new module working?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

Just for the giggles I put 93LC66 into this newer module - didn't help.

POST 1Original post

I have a water damaged but fully working (after I installed bunch of jumper wires etc..) immo module (p/n 99661826007, that officially is not compatible with my 99 Boxster for some reason, however came with it). This one has 93LC66 EEPROM in it. I have a copy of the EEPROM. Car starts, keys are being recongnized etc.. Just don't want to take a chance drive the car far away with it. So I bough the immo module (p/n 99661826001 that is officially compatible with my 99 Boxster). So I though I'll copy the EEPROM into this one and will be good to go. So the new module has the other EEPROM - 09402005. Never heard about this one. Does any one have have the information if I can use the contents of my original EEPROM to make the new module working? Also is this 09402005 EEPROM is just the other name of the common EEPROM chip? Just for the giggles I put 93LC66 into this newer module - didn't help.
