Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Picture below. The white cable and the black cable on the top are from the shifter. The lower black cable is the one I'm talking about. I want to remove the carpet for cleaning and pretty much disassembled the whole interior, but this cable comes through the carpet. In order to remove the carpet without making a cut I need to feed the cable through. Where is the easiest place to get it disconnected? I'm almost positive, that it is a power cable that comes from the firewall behind the fan blower. Where it goes in the engine bay - a mystery to me. I guess I found an answer on Pelican (shown with the red line):

Looks like you have it figured out with red arrow. You can test continuity to confirm that

POST 3Original post

Yes, it was the one. Already removed the carpet out for drying Previous owner(s) kept the sticky dealer plastic over the carpet, so after I removed it - the carpet underneath was like brand new No one stepped on it in 21 years
