Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T072535Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Took the hardtop off today and as I was closing the convertible top the plastic window snapped. Any suggestions on the best place to buy a new one? is it better to get the glass window? It looks a lot smaller and Im wondering if people have had issues with it. Thanks🍻

POST 2Original post

I had the same issue last year on my '99 996. I ended up going with a GAHH top with the glass window. The window is much smaller, but I think it looks much better than the plastic. It wasn't cheap, but the quality is good. https://gahh.com/convertible-tops/ca...d-glass-window

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the info. I'm having a difficult time finding someone who installs convertible tops. Is there a directory or resource for this? My buddy is an upholsterer who said we could do it, but it would take a weekend to complete.

POST 4Original post

Check with your Indy if you have a good one he may do it in house or have a recommendation. They see a lot of cabs.

POST 6Original post

I called the Porsche dealer and asked them who they send all their old cars to. And then used that company. For fun, I did get a Porsche quote. It was 350% higher than what an upholstery shop charged me, which is about right.
