I just can't see the value in replacing the PCM let alone the cost, with a factory one that has limitations compared to what is available today.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys, My 997 07 PCM unit is starting to have issues in the display. I am wondering if anyone of the forum has replaced the OEM unit with a a more modern touch screen with greater functionality than what came out 10 years ago. I just can't see the value in replacing the PCM let alone the cost, with a factory one that has limitations compared to what is available today. Any thoughts or tips here would be greatful. Thanks .......aia
