Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I'm attempting to replace the battery for my 2000 Boxster S . Is there an instruction I can follow, so that I can make sure that I correctly hookup the vent tube and deal with potential radio code resetting? I have done a quick google search, but no luck to dig up any instructions. Thanks for any help.

POST 2Original post

Go to this article: PC680 - Articles obviously you are not installing a lightweight battery. Keep in ming to get the vent kit adapter if you are not using OEM battery. Plenty of threads here on alternative batteries.

POST 3Original post

I just replaced the battery in my CS. Nothing to it. Make sure it's battery for the car and it has the vent. Mine had them on both sides. You use the one that applies and plug the other. Parts came with battery . Didn't have to do anything special for radio codes. Problem as explained to me by local Porsche shop is if you had a CEL before changing battery . If so, you need clear it before changing batteries or use the method not to fully lose the charge while making the change.

Thanks everyone. I found a reference to Mike Focke's site, which has very helpful instructions. ( batteries - mikefocke2 )

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
