Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My new to me 1999 996 C4 went to the body shop this afternoon . There are two small dents on the front trunk lid and some stone chips . Front bumper has a crease in it from previous owner . So hood and bumper being repaired and painted . I also dropped off an aftermarket GT3 spoiler lip and rear diffuser . These will be painted and installed and will compliment my rear ducktail spoiler . The aftermarket items were purchased from Better Bodies/GT3tek . Will post pics when I get her back .

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just got a text from the body shop , looks like paint will fly on Monday 👍

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Body shop dude sent me pics of all the parts today . Nicely painted and curing in the booth . He is trying to have the car ready for pick up on Friday . Woohoo !!! Pics coming after I get her home .

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Picked my car up this morning , I think it came out great . All dents in the hood and scratches/creases in the front bumper repaired . Front spoiler lip and rear diffuser installed with no issues . Next will be the addition of side skirts which are arriving today via the big brown truck . Enjoy the pics

POST 7Original post

Nice subtle transformation. Gives it a more aggressive look.

My oldest son said the same thing . After the side skirts are done I am thinking about adding red mirrors and a red checkered flag graphic . Nothing big basically a checkered stripe that gets larger ending in front of the rear wheelwells . That will feed into subtle red interior additions .

That would be less subtle of course, but it’ll attract attention for sure.
