Anyway it is in correct position to steering wheel (at least my deep quick release steering wheel with adapters), so I expect it to work as I have used same shifter in 996 Mk2 Cup car...

A little bit an off topic to 996/7 issue, but still from my garage: I am also going to change color scheme of my oldtimer grey 911 3.6 RSR to this Martini scheme of other pelican fellow in his RWB.

I also decided, that when finishing this car for now to drive and get first my other Porsche engine projects ready and race, so then later (fall?) I start to work more with this engine: as if opening it also for inspection and bearing change, I can also get some stroke crankshaft for 3.8, 3.9 or 4.0L capacity.

I wonder if this addition would make any difference to change OEM T-plenum to IPD Y-plenum, especially as if I have already double free flow intake, Cup exhaust headers and lines updated, and I am getting rid of mufflers...
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have with my other 5 Porsches (having some of them since 1990) one car under project to be finished in 996 RSRish C2 form for my everyday use and some track and ice track days... It has already installed factory carbon fiber original RSR 2002 Mk1 bodywork and some other engine and suspension modifications, rollcage etc... It's been originally partly build in Sweden and I bought it as project, now getting it finally to almost ready... Here some starters...
love this look! i never thought the 996 would come around to be viewed as a classic but i think i was wrong.
Here's a link to a really cool rsr style 996 C4s:
https://thehundreds.com/blogs/content/porsche-rsr-996
That car in your link is one very cool car with ducktail, 996 Turbo wide rears and with Mk2 RSR front elements... I've noticed it also earlier. For this car I have done some modifications since purchase: suspension setup slightly softer (KW3) from Cup springs to more GT3 RS springs because of winter driving also. I also changed seats to My carbon / leather Cobra Misano S seats for comfort...
Last summer I did some testing in our local track with Proxes R888 semi slicks.
Suspension was then with 996 Cup springs and therefore quite cool to drive as a street car.
Engine is appr 60k km driven Porsche Ag aftermarket engine with some upgrades:
Some help for typical 3.4L engine oil starvation in long G force corners (which probably causes major amount of problems with 3.4L M96 engines,
-cup exhaust headers, race catalysators
-cup X51 oil pan with baffle oil walls
-X51 double oil pump in passenger side with extra oil exit line out from passenger side valve cover
Without these modifications, as if oil pump starves of oil > piston rod bearing failures, > some affect to IMS and RMS failures etc... These alterations should be done to every M96 non Metzger engine... So this doesn't have problems in race track, at least hasn't yet.
You can read more of that from here:
TTP Automotive GmbH Turbo Technik Pietz
It also has enlarged throttle body with double filter intake and something else too:
I am also fabricating now inner mud archs to fit to RSR factory carbon body. I didn't find anything proper to buy and I like to drive this car hard also in gravel snow and ice... I did some testing in closed gravel rally test stages: car was great drive, but the amount of mud in door sills and in front corners around lights etc was annoying...
I am also going to take mufflers completely off and put just straight exits... even if using this cart as round a year every day drive... Now it sounds so lame to my other 911s and 928s
.
Thx!
CAE Cup shifter just arrived, so looking for time to installation. I think it fits great with my Cobra Misanos with their metallic parts and quick release suede steering wheel...
For fabricating inner wheel arches - mud fenders - for me to RSR body I decided to do one off set for me: first I prepared the casting surface with aluminium tape to form I wanted (after moving front cooling systems 60mm forward, reforming the washer tank for lowered large diameter wheels etc.) and then I did epoxy and fiber work "in site" carefully with paintbrush to multilayer level. Apparently it succeeded even to all the way up in the rear without dropping to floor, so rough base forms for mud fenders is done. Now I only must remove them, cut edges, add stone chip protection and do final assembly. Then this car can be driven in anger in gravel, ice and other dirty conditions without destroying car...

I wonder if this addition would make any difference to change OEM T-plenum to IPD Y-plenum, especially as if I have already double free flow intake, Cup exhaust headers and lines updated, and I am getting rid of mufflers... I am going to remap ECU anyway, so why not to change one of these in same process? And should I update the pedal to wire system and then rather accept 82mm GT3 throttle body with larger IPD plenum? I don't know...

Some story in here...
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/boxster-cayman-forum/751814-improve-performance.html
First CAE Cup shifter fitting, I removed some other short shifter (which was quite ok to shift anyway) and did first trial with crossed standard cables... didn't work, so I ordered CAE Carrera/Cup cables from factory. Some 3-5 days waiting with shipping, so then I can continue with this... Anyway it is in correct position to steering wheel (at least my deep quick release steering wheel with adapters), so I expect it to work as I have used same shifter in 996 Mk2 Cup car...

First fitting of CAE
Instead of IPD tuning, I decided to get complete 996 GT3 Mk1 intake plenum and throttle body to change 3.4L oem plastic intake plenum out... As having all these mods finished I'll expect to have some 350hp or more... 9ff was promising 415hp in those days they did exist, but I would be happy with some 996 GT3 Mk 1 360hp ish result... This is to be seen then
.
This is similar to oem to get rid of
This is similar to oem 996 GT3 Mk1 intake I am going to install with GT3 mk1 throttle body.
While putting together my green RUF BTR and my grey 964 RSRish

for summer racing series, and finishing this to every day car purpose for now, I have had an idea to make a tribute colors of Martini "Leo Kinnunen Memorial, RIP 2017" (driver in Wyer team with Pedro Rodriquez in Gulf 917 team for WC victory and these colors for Targa Florio lap record Leo is still holding since) as he was one of original "Flying Finns" with WC raly drivers back then.. . Here is my two last color options, second picure showing also my idea to adjust one of my Ducatis to be build street fighter look with Paolo Tesio fairigs and Martini colors also...
My color favourite so far...
...this one has too much red for me, although would be more historically correct
I am happy to have this 996 finally working with more attitude. CAE Cup wires did arrive, so I can install next week this shifter. The one I removed is actually B & M short shifter, very similar (only different color I think) to Porsche Ag OEM short shifter, which is also manufactured by B & M.
I like the outcome of this 996 C2 as its driving feeling is getting close to this 997 GT3 Cup I have been driving occasionally (it also fits perfectly to my color scheme in my garage) while not racing with my own oldtimer Porsches... The seqvential trans is unbelievably great though
.
A little bit an off topic to 996/7 issue, but still from my garage: I am also going to change color scheme of my oldtimer grey 911 3.6 RSR to this Martini scheme of other pelican fellow in his RWB. Then my 70ies 911 would pair my 90ies 996 as sketched above.

996 C2 RSR and 964 RSR I thought of having in Martini grey themes, but then I also started to consider backdate my green to some modified Martini theme as well. Not yet there, but in process...
CAE shifter finally installed to my 996 C2 RSR with CAE Cup / Carrera cables. Here is something of the process:
Cables were fairly easy to change, adjustment adn setup took some time.
I located Cup shifter 30mm more rear than original mounting points would have been: it suits better next to my steering wheel setup.
Some modding of centre console plastic...
Fitting parts...
Final fitting before final assembly.
This car starts to be about ready for summer drives with preparations for becoming winter drives...
.
... and front 996 RSR mud flares:
These front corner flares I'll probably will rebuild one day: they didn't come out as nicely as rear flares. But now we go with these, as they do protect from mud, gravel and stones...
When asking inspection certificates from KWsuspension, I found out, that instead of having K3 variante 3 in my 996, it got slightly better KW setup under it:
KW Clubsport 3-way suspension w/ top mounts - Porsche 911 GT3 RS type 997, 2004-2005
Sometimes happy surprises!
The 996 3.4 engine has the thinnest cylinder walls of any M96/M97 engine so not recommended to go longer stroke without sleeving with stronger billet alloy sleeves. I have a 2001 engine that is sleeved to 3.6Litre by 99mm cylinder bores for sale completely rebuilt for $15,000 US.
I see what this can take with gt3 intake manifold and throttle body. I quess it will be good for some over 320+ hp in this way... if more than 360hp (GT3 Mk1 3.6L) I would be surprised. After one or two years of every day driving I am rather replacing this 3.4L engine with something like M97.74 Engine Porsche 911 997 4,0 GT3 RS 368 kW 500 PS M97 M9774 or something like it: there is such engines available in Europe in around 18-22 000 euros, and this way I can have easy 500hp in it with Mezger case. Thank you anyway for your offer.
After this 3,4L M96 engine is developed with these mods I am now doing, if it is still ok after 2 years of very day driving, it can find its place in some nice Boxster of mine
. 320+hp or more makes Boxster S more nice for mid engine car... If it is gone, so then it is gone... But this car will be developed to be nice streetable 996 RSR with plenty more Cup car parts in suspension and brakes during the years with some other, probably Metzger engine...
Last sketch for a color plan of my every day ride. Dream to get it finished before winter:
I am considering painting my OZ Ultraleggeras (now black) to magnesium gold and keeping Victor Innsbrucks in silver (for winter stud tyres) and ATS whlle for semis in gunmetal grey as they are.
I did some progress dipping red parts of lower part body (also protection for winter driving for ground hits and stone chips). Quite happy for result, surface quality is not yet perfect (some dip paints are not only rubber but also rubbish), but any part can be quickly redone if some wear or I don't like final quality.
The front of this looks amazing - the whole car is amazing.
But those air intakes on the front bumper really balance the whole front end look of the car.
Thx!
I also like the way how 2002 RSR mk1 front completes the 996 mk1 front end: it reminds me of 996 GT1 front. Earlier I thought of 996 mk2 lamps would be better, but with this factory RSR front bumper and wide RSR front wheel archs I do like 996 mk1 headlights very much. Street legal registration to Finland is complete
.
Still missing -73 RSR "Targa Florio" Martini decals, but getting there...
996 'office' is ready: with floor mounted Cobra Misanos, deep dish steering wheel (removable) with high column and 40mm more rear as standard mounted CAE shifter project is complete. I got desired very 928ish endurance racing driving position to 996 with my long legs and long back (I'm 190cm tall)... Very comfortable for long working drives to work in this 'office'. Also adjustable tablet arm comes far enough from dashboard to be reached even in race belts...
This car is not supposed to be so much of track car as our other 911 cars are, but rather something like these:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MS-Oul4a9g
First 10 000 km full in our daily drive: very refreshing and uplifting driving experience: one would say, hard, noisy and ascetic, but from my point very motivating drive: quite ok in city, great in main roads regardless of speed, excellent in b-roads at any speed...
...works also great with stud tyres in snow, first impressions got in Lapland... Excellent daily driver, some variety and edge between Quattro sessions
.
Martini decals still missing, and some engine development to do, but quite ready to drive around.
... in airport parking...

...in my yacht club...
Thx! I did spray dip paints. I wouldn't want to get my paint brushes dirty with such stuff. And it looks lasting with high pressure washes and really gives stone chip protection. I made quite thick (many layers over layers, at least 6 or more) dip paint just because of that to maintain original paint better over winter. I am now considering using satin clear dip (my grey paint is satin) for front fenders, front bumper and front hood. But probably after I do Martini decals.
I got 996 GT3 intake manifold, plenum and throttle body finally home... As my car is 1999 model with old fashioned mechanical throttle body, this should adapt quite easily. Legs to head with injector fittings must be fabricated and plenty of other things too, but nothing too complicate I suppose. When I have first little bit bigger service and I have to drop the engine, we install this and do also other planned modifications. After that I can go to tester and optimize all modifications to chart...
As if looking both these cars (my green Strosek 911 RUF BTR -82 and this modified 996) you can see the family comparisons: no roof water lines, windows in surface, tear drop mirrors, similar forms of wheel archs, full front side windows (no small triangle window in -82 either)... In both Strosek body and 996 RSR body wheels fit nice way to wheel bay, to quite center of it, even if both cars are adjusted to drive quite low... Standard 930 / 964 turbo / 993 / 996 all models if you lower your car to race height, tyres starts to hide under upper lip of wheel arch... also in 996 standard body. As interesting it is: Vittorio Strosek made this bodykit before 993 was born... I think Porsche should have adopt also the higher height of wheel arch bay to their 993 body already and to 996 standard body too. I see why they dramatically changed the wide arch forms in 997 RSR model and they finally fixed this to standard 991 body... All sports cars tend to fly lower nowadays as they did back in 80ies and 90ies...
Still got clearance problem with washer tank (even if I did last summer reform it with hot air blower) in 'heavy' landings when front springs goes deep... Cleaning of stone chip protection, some Dremel, haot air for reformation and 'plastic welding', new chip protection paint and now it has enough clearance... I found nice gravel'stage' with jumps to test it, so now this is ready... Small, but necessary alteration as if lowering the car to proper ride height...
Track RSR cars do have it in front space, but I want to keep it still here inside of fender, to maximise front space under hood for luggage, as this is every day car...
I did some over 2500km between Wed-Sat in my work trip to Lapland to ski resorts because of negotiations for new hotels... I took my snowboard with me to have some fresh air between meetings and driving (empty snowy, icy, whatever condition B-roads and snowy A-roads). This car is now perfect 'street rally car' for such driving: '997 GT3 RS by KW' stiff suspension is great... Only I have to add helper springs back to rear for winter use (which I removed in summer because I like it better in track without) as if landing from air borne jumps, rear springs bangs now quite hard
.
See my 'factory snowboard rack', works perfectly, no wind noise. It did stay there fine up to quite fast speeds, as I tested it
.
Yesterday I bought another back for board and my carver skis to have them both attached to rear wing in future: then I can carry both of them with me to my work trips in resorts...
Great car even in real snow conditions: coldest in one night was -34.5 celsius and it was still heating both screen and my toes nice... and it run well in all conditions despite heavy snow fall. I'm using stud tyres allowed to streets in Finland.
Of course I have matching colour Burton Race Board (more serious , fabricated to my weight and measures), with my other free ride Nidecker 'boarding tools'...
I think real race board with aluminium color and red sides and hardcore racing characteristics fits great to same attitude as this car in northern roads for backstreets...
. I did order this Burton for me back then through Beverly Hills Sports Shop as I was running my Los Angeles architect office then in mansion at North Canyon Road and living in West Hollywood near Laurel Canyon Road... First rides with this board was made in Mammoth...
I have a need of an extra car for work site and factory travelling in Europe mainland, so I tought of an option to buy 996 cabrio and build it something like this way: MK2 RSR bodywork, moderate suspension tweak, speedster tonneau... and slate grey.
Here some quick and dirty photoshop of what it could be...
I was too lazy to change the wing from the base picture by photoshop, I think ducktail would fit best to this kind of project...
Yes, she really does her everyday labour without complaining and very nimble and humble way
.
Now I am looking for having a next Rsr kind of car for me as an addition to collection: something 997 Cup RSRish to track with paddle shift system...
This old-new-jp front end has been familiar for me for a long time, but I didn't ever like their Liberty-Walk kind of rear wheel arch they used in their earlier designs…
But this was found from web of some last fall Manila auto exhibition by my Porsche friend: The rear end (probably one off for now) fits well to front end… I just started to feel i want one for me: with decent biturbo engine for street/track purposes on top of cup car or something… I try to find the makers of the rear part for purchasing such for me too.
I am strongly considering buying one more Porsche, probably 996 Turbo or something like that to get this kind of toy for me too. and building it to be again street capable track day car.
I actually really like this look as well. I want to add a second air cooled 911 to the garage, but this makes me question that desire. The $12.5k asking price for the body kit seems awfully steep though.
I just purchased one extra long block engine for modification purposes...
And What I am aiming to study with this extra 3,4L M96 solid working, running engine (this is first, a sort of "maximum bang for the buck version"... when I get the existing engine out, I will do that as "entry level safety" version. But first "max" package:
-a budget mods for making it as bullet proof fun engine as possible... GT3 kind of engine, but not purchasing GT3 with 25k euros and doing to that 18-20k euros service...
Performance:
- Pistons and Liners to upgrade 3,4 > 3,8 or 4,0 (if possible with decent price) (haven't yet decided which: Capricorn alu everything or LN Nickies+JE or Mahle pistons+steel liners or Wössner pistons+steel liners) with significantly higher compression ratio
- M96 3.6 crankshaft
- Carillo rods, lighter if possible
- reshaping of heads for better flow
- set of new camshafts with "street maximum" lift (euro exhaust standards define maximum)
- GT3 intake manifold and throttle body
- 997 RSR exhaust complete only with catalysators and no mufflers (as free flowing as possible)
-GT3 cup air intake package
Lubrication and "engine safety":
- earlier mentioned liners and pistons to cover bore scoring and other oval shape alterations
- IMS (considering imssolution.com solution by flat6innovations)
https://lnengineering.com/products/ims-bearing-kits-for-porsche-m96-97-engines/ims-solution.html
- X51 oil scavenge return pump to right side headcover
- cup oil pan with scrapers
- accusump
- extra oil cooler and oil lines to front bumper = larger oil capacity.
This is to start plan, as started last week... IF anyone has experience of following issues:
- IMS solution by flat6innovations (no ball or roll bearings, but lubricated slide bearing arrangement)
- liner and piston combinations (any LN Engineering + JE piston experience?).
This is the way entertain myself with this 996 I have
.
WE did start the rebuild of the M96 engine to stronger specs, meanwhile we did an assembly for temporary engine (spare for the future)... For this engine I did something old and new for the exhaust: new exhaust manifolds, old catalytic converters + cross pipes refurbished from old setup, muffler delete and new direct exhaust pipes...
Engine is still under careful testing, but sounds are absolutely better without mufflers than with them... Next engine setup will get 997 cup exhaust also without silencers
.
Fitting of classic Martini decals. I will make this to be in Martini Racing colors finally...
I don't know about that... either of your sentences
. When studying in Finland (1987-1997, University of Technology back then, nowadays Aalto University, Master of Architecture Degree 3 graduation) and in Vienna (1990-1993, Academie den Bildenden Künste Wien, unfinished before graduation, because of European protectionism: I should have done 5 years more of labor as a draftsman and test after that to get architect permission for the profession I was already doing) I did get some street respect as being becoming architect, but when studying in Los Angeles (1994-1996 Southern California Institute of Architecture, Master of Architecture Degree 3 graduation, Best Graduate of 1996) mainly street people where laughing: if you told studying architecture, they did ask, what are you doing for your living
. I did manage, but not too many of my colleagues during decades didn't. I think you did correct choice...
This was great to me, I must admit, but not every ones steak...
And I am not the one to evaluate my designs done during 3 decades (btw 22-52 years old like I am now...): it is an issue later generations will do
. Now I just enjoy living as I always have done... and build and drive my cars and bikes only for me to enjoy...
But I can pretty much hang around by living only in buildings I did design: watching National Championship Ice Hockey games in Hall I designed (I also played in same team as youngster), swimming in public swimming hall I designed (raced in butterfly swimming as youngster), sailing from yacht club I designed (I did race in 49er Olympic class one decade, then sailing 60ft trimarans ORMA), playing golf from club I designed (not too good at that), nowadays skiing in ski resort I designed (and I own nowadays also ;, I did race in European and shorlty WC level in Freestyle mogul skiing, EC in Slalom and GS))... etc. You can imagine the rest... I don't have my own city or village yet, but I am working on it
.
I did change the vertical supports of rear wing from 996 Cup GT3-R Mk1 vertical supports to 996 GT3-RSR Mk2 supports which are remarkably higher. Now the visibility in city traffic is better through rear view mirror...
with other advantages, sure. Obviously this wing with lower, just removed supports is the period correct wing, but who cares... I am also going to change the wing to wider 996 GT3-RSR Mk2 wing as soon as I get it. My Cayenne with BFG AT:s (which I use as off roader almost every day in steep terrains) runs slightly higher than my street 996
.
Big Brake parts arrived (for 350mm brakes to every corner) and with Red 6-pot GT3 RS front calibers, so I can start assembly some day... I don't want to go 380mm brakes, as I want to run this car also in winter, so I don't want race calibers to get 18" wheels still fitting for slicks and stud tyres... If using Porsche Brembo street calibers, 380mm discs forces you to use 19" wheels or bigger all the time.
I got my DH Bike (Specialized Demo 8) from service in city and I was eager to go test it in my Bike Park (
www.kalpalinna.fi
) and no interest to drive first there and back 80miles to countryside to pick up my van, so I just tied it to "bike rack" of RSR sort of
. Succeeded, it did work great even in Freeway speeds, will do again in future
.
Just got adapters (146mm > 225mm) which I am going to modify for 130mm > 225mm to fit 6-pot front calibers with 350mm discs to front corners. Rear will get also 350mm discs, the rear caliber choice is still in process... Anyway 4 x 350mm after this mod and so I can still drive 18" wheels... 380mm discs without racing calibers would have obligated me to stay only with 19" or bigger... I like 18# wheels with semis and winter stud tyres more...
...and rear calibers did arrive: 996/7 Turbo/Gt3/Gt2 rears to fit my 350mm discs... Now the brake set is complete and 'period correct' as 996 with its over 20 years of age is already a sort of classic car instead of modern or new... if not yet oldtimer, but youngtimer at least
. I have always continued a sort of evolution in our cars when driving them in every day use: as if there is a necessity to change some part, I usually never put the same part if there is available something 'stiffer'... and as you continue building your cars through couple of decades (some of them already way over 30 years), the older ones are getting quite 'stiff'
. Natural evolution of cars for me in my life... They remain more interesting and usually ends to 'hobby racers' if not luxury cars...
CAE is excellent even in daily basis driving. I have used Hargett shifters in my older 911 rsr"ish" cars
and d-zug 935 shifter in my 930 RUF BTR evo...
...more about those cars
https://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/413807-strosek-911-ruf-finally-back-kicking-8.html
CAE makes a great continuation to feeling when having steering wheel near you (as in my race cars) and equal stick position next to steering wheel as I have also in older cars. Extremely comfortable in long daily drives (over 1200km at one stint only with fuellings). A great driving position is absolutely important in driving. As you see, I love a great shifting, excellent brakes & suspension and decent power
.
Finally got all brake bits and pieces for brake project, front factory adapters 146mm > 130mm modification done (welded aluminum filling to old drill holes (146mm distance) and new 130mm holes are now drilled and some machining for the allen bolt tails done... Rear adapters are home made aluminum pieces with 10mm thickness (for GT2/3 330mm original disc to 350mm disc), so now can assembly start!
Meanwhile I did some teenager tuning adding winter protection mud carpets and pedals (I found from my garage storage bought 10 years ago for other project) replacing rubber covers... Nothing cool, but ok for jumping in from building sites with muddy safety boots...
I think they go nice way together with my anyway altered interior... And rubber pedals and floor carpet are not cool anyway.
As if just buidling brakes and suspension adjustments, I decided to change to this standard 3.4L M96 temporary engine also for regular street driving this 996 Cup OIl Pan, because of being too scared to drive standard engine without.
I also decided to change all handbrake parts as this car is already 'museum age' car...
Thx! Snowy winter is great time for upgrading running gear for becoming summer when hardcore 4wd cars are in duty out there
. Wife stopped by to judge my buildings in garage...
Long winter - snow is gone and I've got time to continue... 996 big brake project is getting there: Factory adapters, which adapts originally 997 GT3 RS carbon 6-pots 146mm > 225mm with 380mm disc, I did already modified to 130mm > 225mm suitable. But I decided to stay with 350mm fronts, so I had to fabricate my own adapters and here they are (black ones in pic): they are 14,5mm lower than factory adapters (aluminum color in pic) and I can get 6-pot calibers to fit with 350mm discs to original C2 front hubs with 130mm bolt setup. I did them with high grade steel as they are 10mm 'thin' with reasonably long arm from 130mm distance to 225mm distance to be sure they are strong enough with sinked low tail bolts.
Finally 'down under' project done: all winter salt cleaned, new brakes assembly done... Test runs for 'meanwhile' engine done...

Finally this project is back in four wheels, all unfinished details done. Some fun in between architect-draft-endurance of awakening erection world in building industry: 996 RSR street-rally-track all new car parts and engine assembly is finally ready (of course to bring first to vinyl workshop for final Martini decals) for summer action in a sort of 'stage 2' situation
.
During first test drive no parts dropped, so ready to go to vinyl workshop to get Martini decals. In between work drafting ( 2 x '996' finished for summer drives & rides) it is time to move to next project (911 -77 RSR) to finish... Also Green RUF BTR 911 will get next stage treatment for next summer... here a sort of reminder:

Stay tuned .
Annual traffic inspection didn't like my straight exhaust (how come
), so I decided to go to cut out solution: I've got already Mille Miglia Exhaust mufflers I think will be ok to my use: I had them earlier in this car and their sound was ok (as no sound is ok except straight ones
), so I think I get and assemble electric cut outs. I have to explain to myself, that advantage is the capability to talk phone in car, as now with metal inner roof and diminished insulations interior feels quite cup car like
.
Cut outs I am thinking:
Mille Miglia mufflers I have:
I think stance and setup for driving starts to be ok, and it also looks quite natural for a street car for me now:
Thanks for asking... they are one off hand laid fiberglass parts in-site to this particular car, with these particular re-positions of everything under fenders (to get wheels fit in lower position): lots of work compared to what could be asked for payment with shipping. As a professional designer and architect I think I don't want to multiply these quite ugly'batlike' products, even if they are practical
.
Here some quick shots and and quick photoshops of coming: part of the Martini livery assembled, and some photoshop practice of other advertisements. In Finland race number must be covered in traffic, so I thought I could use it as marketing surface for one of my companies (xtreme mtb & ski resort
www.kalpalinna.fi
)
.
Getting towards Martini Racing outlook... main colors placed, now additional stickers
.
Some new ideas of new dreams is provoking me first time to think of selling some of my cars (20 now altogether, 8 of them Porsches. 4 x 911...). This could be also for sale out of Porsches if there is interest. Asking 69 996e (shipping can be included). I am not yet sure if I can sell my cars, never sold any...
An excellent 996 RSR Mk1 street replica made in Sweden for 996 C2 body. The car is built for year-round use, i.e. even if low and excellent tarmac track car. In the chassis, everything works / protected / adapted and modified to the current ride height, lived in a garage, and mainly driven in the summer... Just a couple of Lapland gigs for fun with a snowboard attached to the rear wing .
So, in short, the car is practically a 996 RSR Cup MK1 for the street, except the springs are slightly softer (GT3 RS 997 equivalent) and the engine is still based on the M96. The car is in excellent condition, everything works and a very strong performer in all respects. This came to me 2017 Spring and I have build this for myself to keep it, so therefore not obligated to sell: this sales only could make my some other fantasy becoming reality faster .

Season 32: "Architect at work" with a politically correct classic vehicle to spend time in clients conferences in their home base.
One would say " it fit's to the furniture" or one could define this as 'a true Porsche lifestyle' (since 1990 in my case)... When in meetings, 'I rest my case' anyway 😎.
First 4 sets of race slaloms skis arrived to postal office, great to have standard ski rack on already
.
Considering winter service, team manager checking, if needed

...and stud tyres we go: I did visit my friend Andres in his "Renard Speed Shop" in Talinn, Est, which is a greatest cafe racer workshop with barbeque restaurant next to it: you can see from bar to workshop... He made this gorgeus all carbon fiber bike already 15 years ago...

Absolutely worth visiting, even from further...
...then I continued back to my ski resort and the snow conditions in freeways were cool to drive, especially with studs. Early arrival and it was again "a Martini time" in our Martini Sportsbar Kalpalinna.
