Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have a 996 turbo short block with a bad case if someone wants to buy it for parts to use on one of Don's cases.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Two brand new engine cases available: One late single piston squirter type One late double squirter(RSR) type Contact me with any questions!

POST 2Original post

Price? I have a motor build coming up and could use one.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

$5500 each. These are NOT street cases that are available through the dealer system.

POST 4Original post

Don, what doe's that mean? Are specifically for racing?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

They are a little different and are not made in Spain. I believe these are made in either Germany or Austria. Porsche keeps the best of the best for the race program.

POST 6Original post

Hello to all: Can anyone confirm if there is a significant difference in engine length (flywheel to crank pulley) between a 1978, 3.3 turbo and a newer water cooled M96/76 3.6 liter. Please I do not intend to discuss the matter of Air to Water; only interested in will it fit. I do not wish to cut the torsion bar tube out which probably limits me to a shortened and highly engineered G50. Experienced advice is sincerely appreciated. Don G.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Nearly identical in overall length. You can actually drop a 3.0 crank in a GT3 case and it fits perfectly.

POST 8Original post

I have a 996 turbo short block with a bad case if someone wants to buy it for parts to use on one of Don's cases.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the go ahead to drop the price on these: $3000 for the single squirter $3900 for the double squirter RSR case
