Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys, I need new front tyres on a 996 and was thinking of upping the front tyre width from 225/40 18 to 235/35 18 hopefully to give me a bit more front end grip. Has anyone else had experience of this and is it a worthwhile upgrade. The front tyres only seem to be worn on the inside ranging from 2mm on the inside to 5-6mm over the rest of the tyre, would I be right in thinking I need to get my camber checked. Any insight gratefully accepted, cheers.

POST 3Original post

It sounds more like you need a decent geo setup doing than new tyres to me. Pointless having wider rubber if no more of it is in contact with the road when it needs to be.
