Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Pelican Parts: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know the part number for this part? I'm looking for the black rubber GASKET around the "third brake light" for a 996tt. I've checked the porsche parts manual with no luck. Any help would be much appreciated! Do I have to buy the whole brake light to get the gasket?

POST 2Original post

You're right I don't see a part number in the Porsche PET diagram, might want to call the dealer and ask them. It would suck if you have to buy the whole brake light with the gasket. Good luck!

I checked - no such luck, you have to get a light. You might look for smoked rear tail light if you want to get rid of the red and get a new gasket at the same time.
