Surely someone of you know the weight of every 19 Porsche wheel.
I've read somewhere that the 19 Carrera S is the heaviest.
I've also read that for plus weight, 19 causes more understeer and so it's more suitable the choice of 18 wheel.
To place my order I have to know if
19 Classic
19 SportDesign
19 Carrera Sport
are lightner and how much than 18 Boxster S - 18 Cayman S
Really thanks to all that will answer.
I don't recall the exact weights for the Boxster wheels but in ordrer from lightest to heaviest it is:
19' Sport Design
18' Boxster S standard wheels
19' Carrera Classic
19' Carrera S wheel
thank you very much!! where did you get the info about weight????
no still info about 19 Carrera Sport's weight for cayman to match with other?
andreadebi,
I'm not sure what you mean by 'no still info about 19 Carrera Sport's weight for cayman to match with other?'
By Carrera Sport I assume you mean the Carrera S wheel. That wheel is the heaviest of the group. (I also don't like the look of it, but that's subjective).
The weights came from Wheel Enhancement.
Does anyone have pictures of all the types of wheels available for the Cayman

K-Man S
this is the 19 Carrera Sport wheel
Interestingly enough the Porsche car configurator shows those wheels only for the Carrera S in Germany, and not listed at all in the US. Time to examine the order guide a little more closely I guess, let me go look.
also different ET for 4S models
Ok I just checked the US Price list and the Carrera Sport wheels are NOT offered, although you could call Wheel Enhancement and get a quote if they can get them.
Here is a picture of all of the wheels offered except for the base 18' Cayman S wheel.
On the left is the 18' Boxster S wheel - $390 option on Cayman S (Free on Boxster S)
Next is the 19' Carrera S wheel - $1550 option
Next is the 19' Carrera Classic wheel - $1940 option
Last is the 19' Sport Design wheel - $1940 option
The standard 18' Cayman S wheel - no additional cost is shown in the following picture:
Checking the Finnish 2006 model order guide and it says:
The 19' Sport EVO wheel as they call it is listed as an option in the Finnish guide for a price of 1,785 Euros.
If the rims on that silver cayman above are the stock rims then count me in ....... those are sweet, and don't cost me an extra 2 grand. I could use that money to buy some decent rubber /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thanks.gif
Here is a close up image of the standard Cayman S wheel and tire set. (No cost on Cayman S)
