This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ive searched the forum and found one shop (Euro Motor Works) but they wont deal with anyone out of state. I havent come up with any other options for getting a PPI. Anyone have a recommendation for another shop in Indianapolis for a PPI? Thanks

POST 4Original post

Im going to Indy tomorrow to pick up a highly modified 996 turbo and the techs at Graham Rahal Performance were very knowledgeable and helped me out with a very thorough inspection. Theyre not Porsche specific but if they didnt know the answer to my question they did the research from a different shop (they tracked down the shop that built my engine). Incredible shop, they clearly did not need my business but were fantastic. if youre buying a car w a M96 engine, Jake Raby strongly, strongly, strongly recommends dropping the sump and bore scoping from the crank side. Thats a pretty big ask for a seller to allow so the seller may have a shop he trusts. If you absolutely want a Porsche shop, you could try P3 over in Dayton. They have a ton of 996s but youre going to have to communicate very, very specifically what you want done. Good luck with the inspection.
