Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am considering the purchase of a 996 c4s and my only complaint was a bit of harshness in the ride which my local dealer said was easily fixable with a coilover kit such as the bilstein pss10 My question to the forum is that it seems that the pss10 will necessarily lower the car 15-20 mm which is not very desirable for me given the nature of the roads here in thailand. Is this the case or am I misreading the information on the Bilstein Website? If it is the case what are my good options that do not involve lowering the car? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. POST 2Original post

A PSS10 kit will likely only make the matter worse. You may be best suited by going to most basic factory strut and shock setup available for your car.

POST 3Original post

I thought there was a factory upgrade for the C4.. maybe the X74 kit? Its a sportier than stock unit but, imho, likely a better choice than the PSS9/10 system out there.
