Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

They do have heaters in them that are powered by some circuit - the heaters only run for a very brief tiime under cold startup conditions, but if they aren't getting power the O2 sensor will be flagged by the DME.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I have had a 2006 Cayman S for years. It has 41 k miles. My service light is on. It reports all 4 O2 sensors went out at the same time. So, I replaced all 4 with Bosch O2 sensors and cleared the codes. A minute later the service light returns regarding all 4 O2 sensors . Is there a fuse or relay that I am missing. This has been going on for months HELP.

POST 2Original post

All 4 at the same time sounds all kinds of wrong. Sorry you wasted your time replacing them... the originals were probably fine. First thing, 12V battery - how old is it? If it's older than 5 years or has EVER been dead, replace it. From there, I'd probe the power wires to the O2 sensors , and make sure they're working... because there could be an issue with the wiring to the sensors. Rats/mice/etc?

POST 3Original post

Do you have a diagnostics tool? Usually a Porsche one will have the ability to look at the output of the O2 sensors , and see if they're working and the DME is just reporting them dead. Probing them might be a tad difficult - but as @schwinn suggested - following the wiring might be productive, especially if some physical damage happened to them. They do have heaters in them that are powered by some circuit - the heaters only run for a very brief tiime under cold startup conditions, but if they aren't getting power the O2 sensor will be flagged by the DME.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
