Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just recently collected my 996 S2 and am very pleased, The front tyres are OE P-Zeros dated 27-03 and rears are 2010 I know they have a limited life. What should I expect before pushing hard? The front wheels seem to activate ABS quite easily even on a dry surface. I would appreciate any feedback. H.

POST 2Original post

You should expect to replace them before pushing the car hard.

POST 3Original post

Lots of options out there for you. Are you looking for something that will be long lasting or super grippy or r-spec/track tyres?

POST 4Original post

You should expect a festival of understeer in the wet. Old Pzeros are noisy, hard and generally untrustworthy in my experience. Brigdestone S02 or Michelin Pilot Sports are popular replacements depending on your price / performance preference.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Mike737 Only for road use, Good Wear/Grip (A Trade-off I know), Wet Weather. Value, rather than just price is the consideration. H

POST 6Original post

POST 8Original post

On Michelin Pilot Sport as well - No issue here......22k km old and still plenty left.....bit less on the rear for some reason...... Jim.

POST 9Original post

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you all for your comments, I am definitely getting tyres very soon. After getting seriously crossed up in the wet recently. LOL. Probably Michelins.

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

LoL, I think I love the wheels more than the car, (If at all possible)  After following the marque for over 40yrs I bought these for myself for xmas before I even bought the car. When they were released I knew I just had to have them.
