upon unlocking my 996 the horn beeps twice, any advise would be helpfull thanks

A double-beep means there is a system fault. In most cases it is a sticky or broken microswitch in one of the door lock mechanisms. The best bet is to get a diagnostic check, which will show the cause in the fault memory, and in the 'events' page, of the alarm module.

i now have the same double beep on unlocking and the driver side door glass drop/raise is faulty i foolishly used a 12v tyre inflator whilst the engine wasnt running and it drew too much power and electrics went all off - only lasting fault i think is described above anything i can easily check or fix myself ? thanks

well the fault has become intermittent along with the window drop on driver side not working properly - guessing it is a sticky sensor
