This is not a probability of success.

Hi there, I just replaced a set of PS2 tyres with same size PS4S and the 4S is 35mm wider and looks pinched onto my 10” rear alloy.

Hi there, I just replaced a set of PS2 tyres with same size PS4S and the 4S is 35mm wider and looks pinched onto my 10” rear alloy. Anyone else experienced this? Worried it may lead to handling issues / imprecision.
Different tyres, different generation. If it helps, my Nokian 295s and my Michelin 305s are completely different but fit the same rim. I wouldn't worry about it.
You wouldn't expect a 295 to be c 265 across the tread, and a 305 to be wider than 305 but that's a winter and an UUHP summer.
It also applies to the other tyres in my garage, including sets of Continental, Nitto, Nankang and Federal, all which vary widely (haha) but I've already provided my view.
Any news on the behaviour of those pinched Ps4s, I just received mine and had the same concern (30mm wider than the ps2) thougt it could be a batch issue ...
Unmounted new tyres always look wider than mounted old, worn ones in my experience. Although you can get some width variation between brands, and even with different specs within the same brand.
Fit them, drive around a bit, and compare again to your unmounted old ones. You might be pleasantly surprised
They feel downright weird coming from a PS2 - took me a while to get used to. The initial steering bite felt less, but then they hook up and turn in really fast - must be the very different shoulders on them!
