I think it's probably safer to go with Tire Rack and pay a premium for all brand new equipment that I know fits and meets recommended Porsche specs.

If you get spacers of 20mm or more do yourself a favor and use those that use a second set of bolts (that establish a new hub), don't just use very long bolts.

Yes they will fit. Will not be ideal but will fit. I run square 17 x 9s (all rear) on my 03 996 and they fit as well. Enjoy your much cheaper tire options!

You will need spacers in the back so that it doesn't look too goofy. Nothing wrong with going toward a more square tire setup. Better balance, less traction. If you go all the way square you save more money because you can rotate the tires. If you get spacers of 20mm or more do yourself a favor and use those that use a second set of bolts (that establish a new hub), don't just use very long bolts.
