I havent ran through all the part numbers yet, but the rear control arms are straight from the 996 (they even use them on the 997's) as well as the 'track arms' ..they adjust rear toe and function as the steering arm in the front.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

While the dealer was searching for a squeak in the rear suspension they replaced a number of parts, interestingly all 996 and 997 parts. Does anybody know where the front suspension comes from? 997-343-070-01 stabilizer link 997-331-045-04 as steering tie 996-341-053-17 as wishbone

POST 2Original post

Everything from the 'B' pillar forward is 997 on the CaymanS. The front suspension is strait from the new Boxster and 997. I havent ran through all the part numbers yet, but the rear control arms are straight from the 996 (they even use them on the 997's) as well as the 'track arms' ..they adjust rear toe and function as the steering arm in the front. Bottom line: Anything you see available for the new 997 GT3 will bolt to the front of your car.. from brakes...to bumpers.. to radiators... to hood...lights...suspension... B
