Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Almost at buying point on a 996 man coupe. Currently mulling over a 1998 (R) C2 with 40k miles. sports exhaust & seats, front and side air bags, silver w/black int etc. Couple of things playing on the mind tho; Is 36k a little high, despite being in v good cond? I know I should buy on condition, but... Are there any major differences to the interior, standard options or general quality on later (1999+) models? I know about the clear lens and will get those done. Also, how much could I expect to sell on 17" Cups for? (Am changing these to 18" carreras). cheers! Migration info. Legacy thread was 14355

POST 2Original post

The interior is basically the same all the way through on the 996. On the 2002 you got a glovebox. On the 2000 model they started using slightly better quality materials, but it doesn't make much difference. 36k sounds about right, sports exhaust is a nice option. Migration info.
