Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Pelican Parts: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

When I'm washing my 996 coupe, should I be careful to not get too much water into/thru the spoiler? I assume that the water that goes thru the spoiler ends up on the engine, so should I let the engine cool way down before washing the exterior?

POST 2Original post

Normally I do a low pressure rince, and then I wash by hand. If and when I do use a high pressure spray-washer I am careful and make sure not to directly blast seals or mouldings or the engine lid directly. It depends, some people are truly and absolutly nutty about how they wash and the waxs and so on. I am not a detail specialist, but I can say that do be sure to use a quality cleaning agent. It depends on how dirty you're vehicle is. Anyways, eeeeennnjooyyy

POST 3Original post

I try to do a final filtered water rinse anywhere I can't dry by hand to minimize water spots etc.
