Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

It seems those long leisurely slow downs/stops where the brakes are applied for seemingly miles wears out the brakes faster than giving the brakes a good push and scrubbing speed then coasting to the stop using the brakes if necessary only to hit the stop point and to hold the car from rolling.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just had the car into OPC today to check out an intermittent issue an they necked it ice as usual. Pads are at 60% , it's a 2012 with 25k done as daily driver, so was just wondering what the rates are like for others?

Just had the front brakes done on my 02 Boxster but I can't remember how long the old ones were in service. Been years I know for I did the brakes 2 moves back. The 03 Turbo has its original brakes and I've racked up over 116K miles on the car. What I have found helps prolong brake life is to use the brakes harder but for a shorter period of time.
