Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

After about 10 min. of driving I start hearing a loud intermittent squealing noise. It sounds like its originating from the bellhousing area. I thought it was the clutch so I replaced everything even the IMS bearing. Still after the car warms up the noise is back. Noise comes on at around 2k RPM. I can step on the clutch or gas and it will go away. I'm starting to think it might be the mainshaft bearings in the trans. Will the air oil separator make this type of noise? When I first heard the noise I thought someone was cutting wood with a table saw. Any help is appreciated.

POST 2Original post

The AOS can make a squealing noise in some instances. You replaced the throwout bearing?
