Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know how to set the central locking to lock automatically when you pull away? Is there a sequence of buttons to press, or does this have to be done by the dealer?

POST 2Original post

It requires hooking the car up to the diagnostic thingy at the dealer. Takes seconds to do. You can probably get them to do it for nothing next time it is serviced (when it will be connected anyway).

POST 3Original post

In the user guide it mentions to contact the dealer. There a number of different settings they can do depending on how you want it to operate (if I remember correctly). I thought that locking at 3-5mph was the default setting.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys. I am going for consistency with my wife's car. It frightens the life out of me when I pull away as it always sounds like I have clipped a mirror or something! Maybe I'll get used to it if the 4S does it too...
