Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I had a similar problem recently, and the dealer put it down to a faulty fuel valve line - this was changed and no more problems...

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 1998 c2 is hard to start when its hot. Its not that it turns over and wont start, its that there doesnt seem to be enough power in the starter to turn it over. I know some high compression ratio engines can suffer from this problem. Is this the case with 996s or do I have to get the cheque book out AGAIN. Andrew.

POST 2Original post

That's not normal for a 996 Andrew, I think a visit to the dealer is in order I am afraid!! Doubt it's electrical if it only happens when the engines hot, more likely fuel/engine/timing related, has it been chipped or is it standard?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Andrew, I had a similar problem recently, and the dealer put it down to a faulty fuel valve line - this was changed and no more problems... Hope you get it fixed soon. Justin
