Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

We have a cat and the jugs work for used oil and also for storing emergency water.

For easy disposal of used oil, find a friend who uses cat litter in jugs.

Suggestion
FCP has the send back lifetime program I might lean into and try and get the complete oil change for about 100$ vs 350$.

Suggestion
It is low-profile and can lay flat or stand upright without leaking and is sealable...I actually have 4-5 of them they are so handy and cheap ( plus I don't like cleaning them up after use) I just buy a new one when time to change oil...

Suggestion
My local Indy is 250$ an hour no matter what and I have the ability to borrow a friends garage and am leaning on doing the oil changes my self due to the labor cost +

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It worked great, even with my lowered ride height.
Does anyone use this for their oil changes? Wondering if the flow rate will be too fast for the funnel.

Before I got my lift, I used this low profile pan from Harley Davidson to do oil changes without having to raise the car. It worked great, even with my lowered ride height.

Sweet Victory- The HD pan is exactly what I have been looking for! Great suggestion- it looks like its a in person / dealer item only soon will have to find my local dealer. cost of goods. FCP has the send back lifetime program I might lean into and try and get the complete oil change for about 100$ vs 350$. Please dont get me wrong, my local Indy is awesome but they have upped their service to a flat rate for all labor no matter the complication or simplicity of the service at that time.
I use a similar one from NAPA:
Drip / Drain Pan BK 8218038 | Buy Online - NAPA Auto Parts (napaonline.com)
I jack the car up on the drivers side so I can get a tool in there, but once the drain plug is out, i drop the car back down.
I use one that is similar and the flow rate was to fast. Ended up buying a large open pan that I then pour into the self contained pan so I can take it to be recycled.
My Rube Goldberg solution to a simple problem
I drain mine into a 5 gallon pail. The 8 quarts in the Mezger's oil tank drain out in about 1 nanosecond. If a pail won't fit under the car I would use an under bed storage container, which is what I use on my VW's.
I use the Hopkins Mfg. 16 qt drain pan 43003ML aka Flotool Brand ...I'm usually draining over 12 qts and don't want to be at the limit...

I’ve been using one that looks identical to the original post for 10 years now. Works perfect. It gets very close to flow capacity but unless oil is hot, handles it fine.
