Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Could this have something to do with a setting, maybe one that could turn off steering wheel controls?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I've looked around and found nothing to help me with this particular problen. 2008 porsche cayman with bose while installing a new head unit i also intalled a can buss steering wheel control interface. I can't get the interface to work and allow me to map the buttons to the head unit. I checked and I get resistance across the can high and can low but when I touch one of the buttons like the volume wheels or the phone buttons the resistance does not change. Could this have something to do with a setting, maybe one that could turn off steering wheel controls? Thanks, John

POST 2Original post

Which radio do you have, and which canbus adapter did you get?

POST 3Original post

I have the ATOTO A5L and I am using the connects2 canbus and Fiber Optic interface. I bought the kit that included those two from Crutchfield. The kit is the CTSPO005.2. There had been an aftermarket radio in it before so I had to do a lot of wiring to connect the kit to the radio but the identification of the wires was easy. I used a label maker to identify what went where. You will need to buy a kit to enable you to mount it. The kit will have a 'sleeve' if you will to slide the radio into and lock in place. I tried a6 from ATOTO but didn't like it. The resolution was not as sharp and clean as the a5. Hope this information is good for you. John
