The front bumper is a boxster upgrade for those who add a 3rd radiator or who want to change the cars appearance.

They look great no broken mounts Ft does not even have any paint issues I'm an early 911 guy so some of this 993 / 996 C2 C4 etc and what bumper changes took place is hard for me to follow.

The aftermarket replacement types (that look nothing like stock) tend to run $500 to $1500.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi I just picked up a set of 1999 996 Ft and rear bumpers that had been bumped Ft and RR the owner required new replacements on the at fault driver and kept the ones off the car.
long story short I own them now and am looking to see what models they may fit to properly advertise them. They look great no broken mounts Ft does not even have any paint issues I'm an early 911 guy so some of this 993 / 996 C2 C4 etc and what bumper changes took place is hard for me to follow. Looking at the guys car it looked like a std 996 1999 non turbo.
I read that the Ft bumper may be an upgrade for earlier boxter ? Ken
At minimum, the front bumper fits 99-01 996 and 97-04 boxsters. In '02, Porsche changed the front headlight shape on the 996, and iirc, this impacted minor changes to the front bumper.
So whats the best market for them I can let them go for a good price... What would be a 911/996 racers forum I can try to list them. I put them on Pelican classified but no hits are these to common bastard year or what ?
The front bumper is a boxster upgrade for those who add a 3rd radiator or who want to change the cars appearance.
To be honest, they aren't the most sought after. Most folks of older cars would tend to "update" their look to the 2002+ style bumpers.
You can put em on ebay.. or continually "bump" them on the pelican/rennlist forums. Not even sure what type of money they bring..$300ea?
Correct, front bumper is bolt on for the years listed. Front also I think is the same as was used on the Boxster S, as those had the 3rd radiator. Rear is 911 only, and I "think" 99-04. The refurb bumper places sell them in the $90 to $200 range, whereas people selling due to upgrades and the like range from $175 to $500 from what I have seen. The aftermarket replacement types (that look nothing like stock) tend to run $500 to $1500. Shipping can vary a lot though, and is usually the deal breaker both for the hassle on the sellers end, and cost on the buyers.
I need front and rear for my boxster, and have been researching.
Some of the aftermarket ones are just silly, but the stock one is a little plain for my aero kit rockers.
I had a coworker friend up in Charlotte yesterday too, go figure.
