Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Setting the hvac output to floor redirects enough that it stops my window from fogging, which is holding the line until I get the motivation to do either the heater core or radio surgery to actually fix it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Any thoughts on this as a fix? Not cheap at $349.

POST 2Original post

I've seen advertising on these, but that is an incredibly unbelievable price for a piece of plastic. That is way above the usual Porsche tax.

Sorry, what am I looking at? What foam? Where? Sorry, I've been all over my car, and I just can't figure out what those are. EDIT: okay, I went to their website. This is stupid. I hope understand they're addressing the foam vent issue, but every car has some degree of air leaking cause windshield fog, especially in cold weather. And it is a manageable issue.

POST 8Original post

I fixed mine for under $40 in supplies, and had enough left over for a friend, and still some left over.

Do you not ideally want to do both?

POST 11Original post

My understanding is access through the front/radio area can reach both flaps, at the price of having to cut open some ducting work, which you then tape back up and isn't visible anyway but is still doing something somewhat un-reversible. Heater core method I believe can only access one of the two flaps. I plan to go in through the front fwiw.

POST 12Original post

Some folks report being able to do both doors through the heater core opening. I couldn't get my second door to move so I wasn't able to do it.

This is a solution looking for a real problem.
